A free soccer camp was held at Community Bible Church in Tunkhannock Twp. from July 14 to July 16.

More than 80 children attended each day during two sessions. Younger players (grades 1-4) met in the morning while older kids (grades 5-9) met in the afternoon.

The camp was led by Coach Brian Dempsey, who also pastors Community Bible Church, along with a host of volunteer helpers, including several players from the Tunkhannock Girls Varsity team. Each day featured a focus on a different technical skill (dribbling, passing, shooting), and revolved around working on skills through technical training followed by a lot of small-sided scrimmaging.

This was the second year for the camp, which organizers hope to be able to offer as a free opportunity to the community every summer.
