OVER A DOZEN PEOPLE ARE DISPLACED IN EFFINGHAM AFTER FIREFIGHTERS SAY THEY FOUND THIS SIGNIFICANT HEALTH AND FIRE SAFETY VIOLATIONS AT A PROPERTY ON PINE RIVER ROAD. Fire Chief Jon-Thomas Harmon then ordered the building to be vacated immediately.Officials said the Effingham Board of Selectmen is working with the town's welfare office to provide emergency housing for those displaced.

Effingham fire said several people, including some children, were inside the building during the site walk and inspection. Fire Chief Jon-Thomas Harmon then ordered the building to be vacated immediately.

Officials said the Effingham Board of Selectmen is working with the town's welfare office to provide emergency housing for those displaced.
