British Columbia is aggressively recruiting workers from Oregon’s already thin-stretched health care workforce as the Canadian province works to address medical professional shortages of its own.

Earlier this year, the provincial government launched a recruitment campaign aimed at addressing its critical shortage of health care professionals. The effort ramped up last month with a $5 million targeted advertising initiative in Oregon, Washington and select cities in California.
