City of Lubbock hosts health & safety fair for kids

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - The City of Lubbock is hoping to keep children safe as they get ready to head back to school.

The city hosted a health and safety fair out at Safety City on Saturday.

The free event featured a variety of community partners, local organizations, and businesses, all showcasing important health and safety information.

There were also giveaways, prizes, demonstrations and music.

Kids also got the chance to explore vehicles and learn valuable safety rules before starting the school year.
