Germany’s industrial production dropped 1.9% month-over-month in June 2025, slipping further from a revised 0.1% fall in May, and coming more than the expected 0.5% decrease. This marks the sharpest decline in industrial activity since July 2024, largely driven by contractions in the manufacture of machinery and equipment (-5.3%), pharmaceuticals (-11%), and the food industry (-6.3%). In contrast, energy production recorded an increase of 3.1%.
