This will be the first crisis center in the Chicagoland area to offer immediate care for people experiencing a mental health or substance abuse crisis.
It's also the first in Illinois to offer both adult and youth behavioral health crisis services.
This marks a major step forward in ensuring adults, youth, and families have access to care that is safe, medically appropriate, and always available.
Family members, first responders, and law enforcement officials will be able to bring people experiencing a crisis to the facility, where they can be assessed and cared for by trained medical and mental health professionals and connected with community resources for continued support.
