Garuda Indonesia and Singapore Airlines (SIA) are collaborating on a significant upgrade set for August 2025, bringing exciting news for travellers between Singapore and Indonesia. The two long-time partners are enhancing their commercial cooperation by offering joint fare products, expanding codeshare routes, and providing reciprocal lounge access, all beginning this August.

So, what does that mean for you? For starters, you’ll be able to book flights operated by either airline between Singapore and Indonesia in one seamless itinerary, with more fare options to choose from.

Also, here’s everything you need to know about Singapore Airlines’ first-class suites, from what they are like to the in-flight services and amenities.

The collaboration between Singapore Airlines and Garuda Indonesia is also giving a serious boost to the codeshare agreement. Garuda Indonesia passengers will soon be able to book SIA-operated flights to Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Delhi in India, plus Malé in the Maldives. On the other hand, Singapore Airlines customers can now access more of Indonesia, including Garuda flights from Denpasar to Labuan Bajo, and from Jakarta to Labuan Bajo, Lombok, and Manado.

These additions build on existing codeshare routes covering Singapore and Denpasar, Jakarta, and Surabaya, plus SIA’s flights to London (Heathrow) and Mumbai.

Frequent flyers should note that from mid-August, GarudaMiles and KrisFlyer members will enjoy reciprocal lounge access when flying between Singapore and the three key Indonesian cities — Denpasar, Jakarta, and Surabaya. This includes access to Garuda Executive Lounges, the KrisFlyer Gold Lounge, and the swanky Business Class SilverKris lounges. You’ll also be able to earn and redeem miles on all the new codeshare routes, thanks to a frequent flyer partnership launched earlier in February 2025.

Flight frequencies are also getting a lift as a result of this collaboration between Singapore Airlines and Garuda Indonesia. SIA added a ninth daily service between Singapore and Jakarta in May 2025, while Garuda plans to increase its Jakarta-Singapore flights from six to seven daily in Q4, with more to follow (pending approvals).
