But this successful career doesn't lessen the pain of being a runner-up. As was evident from the star's reaction after the defeat in the Saudi Super Cup.

Al-Nassr was ahead of Al-Ahli twice on the scoreboard - and was winning until the 89th minute. But they conceded a draw at the end and lost on penalties.

Additionally, the 40-year-old player reached 939 career goals and took another step towards the 1000th.

CR7's Al-Nassr returns to the field against Al Taawon, at 3 PM on Friday (29), away from home, for the Saudi Championship.

Besides the Saudi League, Cristiano Ronaldo will also compete for the Asian Champions League and the Saudi King's Cup titles.
